Easily exchangeable linear and rotating modules
Anton Paar tribometers are available with two modules: a rotating module and a linear reciprocating module. In this way, you can ideally simulate different types of motion encountered in service. Both modules can be installed on the same tribometer and are very easily changed from one to the other.
You can install all Anton Paar options on recent tribometers.

Integrated online calibration procedures
All procedures are driven by the Windows-based tribology software. The systems’ rotation speed, the radius of the arm and the friction force sensor are automatically calibrated with this software. You can calibrate the instrument at any time; the calibration procedure requires less than 5 minutes.

Pin-on-Disk Tribometer (TRB)

High Temperature Tribometer (THT)
Pin-on-disk tribometer with high-temperature capabilities; Precise and homogeneous sample temperature control up to 1000 °C; Accurate friction force measurement at elevated temperature

Nano Tribometer (NTR³)

Vacuum Tribometer (VTHT / VTRB)
The Vacuum Tribometer is used to determine the sliding life of self-lubricant coatings as well as the friction and wear behaviour of solid-state materials or hard coatings with averaging time, contact pressure, velocity and temperature under vacuum conditions.
